The Most Surprising Saddle-Find on AliExpress

If you think about great quality performance cycling products there are usually three attributes that come to mind:

1. Weight
2. Build-Quality
**3. Price **

..and typically you have to choose two out of those three attributes. But what if there is a saddle that ticks all of these boxes? Well, then you would probably think I am full of shit. Luckily, however, I can show you this saddle and talk a bit about my experience with it in the past couple of weeks.

To begin with, when unpacking the MIXES 5D Carbon Saddle - whatever the 5D stands for?! - you immediately feel that this is quite the solid product. Especially when comparing this saddle to some other saddles from AliExpress, it becomes quite apparent just how good this one feels compared to others in the same price category.
There is nothing flimsy about it - nothing feels like it could rattle or break loose - and the top-section of the saddle feels smooth but firm and does so for the entirety of a long ride.

When it comes to weight, this saddle is not behind the competition either. When compared to my non-carbon Selle Italie SLR Boost - heavier but in the same quality category - the MIXED 5D saddle shaves off almost a full 100g - WHAT? And when combining that along with the price - we get to one of the best price-to-weight-reduction products on AliExpress. Just 25 cents per gram saved.

Especially when taking into consideration just how comfortable and reassuring the quality is, I can definetly conclude that this was the most surprising saddle of my AliExpress Carbon Saddle Comparison. A definite buy-recommendation.
